Benjamin Beau salon,

I really enjoy getting my haircuts at your fine establishment, but I have a problem with the last cut I received. I asked the girl to give me 70’s David Bowie, because I am a rocker and play in a tribute band. But when she was done I realized that she gave me an 80’s Bowie, which is not the same thing at all. You cannot go back from “Ziggy Stardust” Bowie to “China Girl” Bowie. It’s nearly impossible, unless, of course I got extensions, which I know of no place that does that. If you could refer me to some place to fix this I would be grateful. I know that I should have brought album covers but I forgot and the girl told me that she could do it. What should I do? I fear that when I start to play Space Oddity I’ll get laughed off the stage, which would all but end my career and income. Please get back to me on this matter. I’ve loved your salon for a while, but now am scared to go there.

Rick Cabrera

I sincerely apologize for this, Rick.

I would love to be able to get this sorted out for you as quickly as possible. What was the name used and the date of your experience with us? I cannot find a reservation under the name Rick Cabrera to be able to contact you, or to address which stylist this occurred with. Thank you for making us aware of a less than satisfactory experience.

Benjamin Beau Salon,

Thank you for you expedient response. You might check for the reservation under Ziggy Cabrera. The stylist that I dealt with was very nice, but I forget her name. She was wearing black eyeliner and a fashionable pant suit. Very professional, as the whole establishment seemed to be. As for the matter at hand, I am not sure that there is any going back to the Ziggy Stardust Bowie at the moment, so I’d like to try something new. Maybe a John Malkovich look. I will remember to bring in DVD covers this time around. It won’t jive much with my Bowie band, but I like the look. Does this work for you? Do you think it is a good look? Please respond as soon as possible. I want to get this sorted out quickly and make my amends with your wonderful salon. Thanks.

Regards,

Rick Cabrera

Their Response:

Rick, with your permission I would love to get you set up with a reservation to see Beau, the owner of the salon. He will be able to chat with you, go over any photos you prefer, and make sure you come to a mutual agreement that will make you the happiest with whichever hairstyle you choose- as well as make sure it suits you. What is your availability during the week?? Give me a few days/times that would be convenient for you and I would be happy to get you on the books. Feel free to send pictures to us as well if you’d like, so that Beau may properly prepare for your reservation beforehand.

Thank you!!

My response:

Benjamin Beau Salon,

After pondering my new look, I don’t think that I like the Malkovich idea. He is a great actor, but I met him once in a Los Angeles cafe and he refused to speak with me about his life story. I would prefer hind-cranial extensions and try again for the 70’s Bowie look. I am willing to give it another go if it can be done.

I would like to go from this (80’s Bowie)

I already have the eye patch and scarf, so you don’t have to worry about that. But don’t you think that it’s a sexier look? I sometimes need advice on these things. I actually had a Robert Smith in high school and got beat up all the time. Is the 70’s Bowie a bad decision? My girlfriend likes it, but her mother says she will not even let me in the house if I get it. Her mother is a vile beast. But you at Benjamin Beau are professionals of style and I’d like to hear your thoughts. if it cannot be done, I guess I will go with an 80’s John Cusack. Women loved him back then. Please get back to me as soon as possible on this matter. Thank you Benjamin Beau for being so accommodating and receptive. You are truly professionals.

Rick Cabrera

Their Response:

Good morning Rick!

Unfortunately the images attached in your last email are not opening for us here on our end, I apologize about that. Lets go ahead and get you on the schedule, so that Beau can sit down with you and discuss any and all options possible in order to make the necessary adjustments. What is your availability looking like for the rest of the week??

I look forward to hearing back from you and getting some time reserved for you as soon as possible!

My Response:

Benjamin Beau,
Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. This matter is important to me and your expediency is indicative of your professionalism. The rest of the week doesn’t look so good. On Friday at 1:30, I have to go to court for accidentally harming my roommate’s dog. It would never stop barking and eating my goldfish and snacks. At 4:00 I have a lunch-dinner with my band manager who isn’t very happy with my haircut. I think that he will just have to get over it. At 6:00, I’m having dinner and drinks with my step-mother. My girlfriend will be meeting us around 7:00 at the steakhouse probably to complain about her job at the same steakhouse (she always gets mad when I show up to her work unannounced). At 9:00 I will be going to bed, so the appointment cannot be after that. Saturday would be fine, but I have band practice at noon. At 3:00, I will be tutoring rudimentary mathematics to wealthy kids. I will done with that by 5:00. I go in for my weekly physical therapy at 6:00 ( I fell down an escalator at the Shanghai Airport and cracked a vertebrae). That will last until about 7:00, when I have to grocery shop for my kids (whom I see very infrequently, due to my rock band; but they need to eat!). After which I will most likely be going to bed again at 9:00. So Saturday doesn’t work either. On Sunday I teach Sunday school at the Riverside Lutheran Church from 10:00 to 11:00. Then, I’m going to see that new movie ‘”Noah” around 1:00. I heard it’s good. Way more accurate than the Mel Gibson Jesus flick. I will have my kids that day, and they are monsters, so I’d rather not bring them by Benjamin’s house. And they are twins and demand on wearing the same thing, so it is kinda embarrassing hanging out with them. How about next week? I’d love to schedule something soon. Benjamin Beau is still my favorite salon.

Regards,

Rick Cabrera

Their Response:

Good morning Rick, we have some availability with Beau actually this Saturday the 10th, at 9:45 a.m. and that would have your services wrapped up around 10:30 as to not run into when your band practice would begin. Would this work for you? If not, please provide me with a few dates/times next week that you have available!

Thank you so much, have a great day.
