My inquiry:

I have been told that you are one of the best architecture firms around. I have an urgent request that is time sensitive. Please email me as soon as possible. Thank you.

Their response:

Hi Rick, Thanks for your interest! What can we help you with?

My Response:

I was referred to you firm by a colleague who says that you guys are the best in the business. I have a problem that needs the best. There have been many break-ins in my neighborhood lately. My house has been broken into three times in the last year. I have many valuable objects that have been stolen, including an original Frida Kahlo painting that cost me upwards of a million dollars. I have a considerable amount of land on my property. I am considering building a moat so that this never happens again. I know that you are capable. Do you know a construction team that would be able to dig one around my house? But I do not want merely a dirt pool surrounding the house. I would like it to be classy and its design incorporated with existing aesthetic design of the house, which should not be difficult due to the Spanish Baroque style I had it built in (I hired an architect from Madrid for the original design, but unfortunately he passed away last Fall). Then I would need a way over it to park my car and get inside the house. This is likely rudimentary work for a team of your caliber. I need this done quickly before another robbery costs me more valuable artifacts. Money is no object here. Please email me concerning the next step in this process. Thank you for your services.

Their Response:

Sorry to hear of your loss of property, and you are right, we can help!
As an architectural firm, we can assist in the overall design and construction documents and would recommend builders to follow through the design. I’ll have our Principal, Peter Pfeiffer call you to discuss the next steps.
Are you available this afternoon? What is a telephone number to contact you at?
Again, Thanks for your interest! Here’s a sample of some of our works…..http://www.houzz.com/pro/barleypfeiffer/barley-pfeiffer-architects

My Response:

Sorry for the tardy response. I’m not available today, but I will get in contact with you early tomorrow. Thank you for your interest in the project. I was confident your firm could meet my needs. I would like it to be a salt water moat. I have a shipment of exotic salt water fish arriving soon that I would like to place in the moat. I am concerned about their safety. Do you think that the design will be conducive to the survival of my (very expensive) fish? I also have a friend that has a glass pool which allows him to see into it from his office downstairs. Is this a feasible project concerning my moat? I would like to remove the walls on the bottom floor of the house to have a 360 degree view of the fish in my moat. As a reference, would you be able to send pictures of the moats you have constructed in the past? I am very excited about this project and will be awaiting your email concerning my further questions. Thank you.
